Terms of Service

Scope, acceptance, and services

These Terms of Service govern use of the Maple AutoSell website and related services for selling vehicles in Canada. By accessing or using our site, submitting vehicle information, requesting an offer, booking an inspection, or completing a sale, you agree to these terms. Our services include online valuation tools, scheduling and coordination of inspections, partnership with certified inspectors and carriers for pickup, and payment facilitation through secure channels. Use of the site for any fraudulent or unlawful activity is prohibited. Maple AutoSell reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time for operational, legal, or security reasons. We may also update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an effective date. Continued use after posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the terms, do not use the site or request our services.

User obligations and accurate information

You must provide truthful, complete, and accurate information when using our forms and when communicating with our team or partners. Accurate vehicle details - including make, model, year, mileage, VIN when available, and condition notes - are essential to receive a reliable offer and to complete transfer and payment processes. You agree to disclose known issues such as outstanding liens, salvage or reconstructed titles, or any material facts that may affect the vehicle's condition or transferability. Providing incorrect or misleading information may result in modification or withdrawal of any offer, and may impact the ability to complete a sale. You authorize Maple AutoSell to verify information as necessary, including contacting third parties, partners, or authorities for validation. You are responsible for ensuring ownership documentation is valid and available at handover to complete transfer procedures in your province or territory.

Offers, inspections, and final sale

An online valuation provides an initial estimate based on automated market data and the details you supply. Offers are non-binding until a certified inspection is completed and a final written offer is delivered to you. Inspections document the vehicle's condition, mileage, and any discrepancies; photographic evidence is maintained. Following inspection, Maple AutoSell may adjust the offer to reflect verified condition items. If you accept the final offer, we will schedule payment and pickup logistics. Offers expire as stated in the offer documentation and may be withdrawn if underlying market conditions change materially. For vehicles with salvage, rebuilt, or non-standard titles, we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis and disclose any special terms. All sales require completion of applicable transfer documents and verification of identity and ownership. You acknowledge that the timing of inspection, payment, and pickup may vary by region and partner availability.

Payments, fees, and taxes

Payment options offered include bank transfer and certified cheque as specified in the final offer. Maple AutoSell does not charge hidden sales fees to sellers for standard offers unless explicitly stated. Any fees related to optional services such as independent inspections requested before acceptance, special logistics for remote pickup, or escrow arrangements will be disclosed in writing before charging. Sellers are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations applicable to the sale in their jurisdiction. When bank transfer is selected, funds are processed through verified financial partners and the seller will receive documentation confirming payment. Maple AutoSell is not a bank and does not provide banking services; we facilitate payments through contracted payment processors and institutions. If a payment method is unavailable or delayed, we will notify you and provide alternatives to complete the transaction securely.

Limitation of liability and disclaimers

Maple AutoSell provides services on an as-available basis and uses reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy of offers and inspection documentation. However, we do not guarantee that estimates or offers will be identical to private sale values, trade-in quotes, or valuations on other platforms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maple AutoSell and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and partners disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from your use of our site or services. Our total liability for direct damages related to a transaction or use of the site is limited to the amount actually paid by Maple AutoSell to you in connection with the transaction in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law. You agree to indemnify and hold Maple AutoSell harmless from third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or from inaccurate information you provide.
